“Sam and I were doing alright, we didn’t have a lot, but we were getting by. We enjoyed simple pleasures—morning coffee, a walk, gardening side-by-side. Then Sam became ill. He fought hard but he recently passed away. I’m trying my best to go on without him—I miss him so much.

Now I’m struggling to pay bills. I often have little left for groceries. I was a volunteer at Loaves & Fishes years ago, and now I need help. The amount of nutritious food I receive is incredible and has relieved a lot of my worries. Thank you to everyone who supports the Pantry—I am forever indebted.”
