Thank you for your interest in supporting our Thanksgiving distribution. As you probably know, turkey is a little more expensive this year due to the bird flu and the need is still high. As a result, we will receive less turkey from the Greater Boston Food Bank than usual and need your help to make up the difference.

Frozen turkeys will be accepted in our special donation drop-off sessions on Saturday and Sunday, November 21st and 22nd, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Please drop off 12 pound or larger frozen turkeys at one of those sessions.

Other Thanksgiving fixings are also needed and we’re thankful for whatever you can provide. See our Most Needed Items page for a list of what we need most.

It helps us if you write “Thanksgiving” in the check memo, above the name and address on the envelope or in the special purpose field for an online donation. We cannot guarantee your gift will be used for Thanksgiving due to timing and other issues but it is very useful for us to know why you are giving.
