Food Coordinator Assistant
Major responsibilities include assisting the Food Coordinator with:
- Procurement, receipt, tracking, managing and distribution of all food items passing through the pantry
- Ensuring a safe and optimum supply of high-quality food in the pantry
- Maintaining and expanding sources of shelf stable and perishable food supplies
- Providing supervision and oversight to the back pantry volunteer team
- Collaborating with the pantry’s staff team and dedicated volunteers to distribute a variety of food and personal care items to our clients on a regular basis.
- Leading pantry sessions, sorting & stocking sessions, truck offloading sessions in the absence of the Food Coordinator
Hours:
This is a part time, job shared position. The two individuals involved in this job share will collectively work approximately 15 hours per week. Schedule includes open pantry hours, sorting/stocking and truck offload sessions. Schedule is generally Tuesday through Friday, an occasional Monday, some evenings and Saturdays. Schedule subject to adjustment.
